Question Den nobile blooms with roots

My den nobile bloomed for me in Dec. a few weeks ago it started to produced 3 bloom growths. I looked today and they started to branch off and are forming roots. Why is this happening ? Would it continue to grow into a keiki ?

I can't upload a picture now as I have no memory on my phone.

Thanks for the help!

Similar thing happened to my nobile-moniliforme hybrid. Inflorescence with root growing from base. But no leaves ever came out so I cut it off after blooms ended.

I've had the same happen on kingianum and its hybrids. Sometimes, the following year / next growth cycle a keiki will sprout.

I am not a nobile den expert but I have 10 of them (plus many keiki) and have had them for a little over a year. They all bloomed beautifully this spring from Jan until now. I still have 4 in bloom. Over the past year several of them have made keiki at different times. I usually let the roots grow long and them pot them up. It doesn't seem to affect the growth or flowering of the plant.

I have one 'Oriental Smile' that gave me many keiki over the summer but no new canes. It didn't flower as well as the others but it still had at least 25 flowers. Right now it has finished flowering and it is already sending up 6 new canes and also has 5 more keiki. I have a few others that are also growing new canes and keiki. I have found that orchids do what they want and we just need to water and feed them.

This is what I'm talking about . I'm not talking about keikis.
Thank you. Now I know these will not continue to grow into a keiki . Once they bloom the die off like a regular bloom.

I do know that the orchid formed blooms . I think I watered to much to encourage root growth on these growths. They def don't look like they will do anything but flower once.

Thanks again, I'm not talking about new growths at the base of the plant. I'm not new to orchids just new to the above said.

Thanks all.
