I have a friend who has a (much smaller) plant of Den. Berry 'Oda' and it's been on my search list for years. And you found it in a supermarket! Amazing. I too want a supermarket like that near me!

It's gorgeous! So bright and cheery. I would get that one too if I ever found it.

It's extremely common in europe. I see it every winter in supermarkets and garden centers here, and they are always large and cheap plants.

Well it's nice when your supermarket has named hybrids. Congrats, it a beauty!

Thanks!

It seems that I have managed to get it to rebloom, I see 5-6 spikes starting. That's not a lot compared to the number of spikes it had when I bought it, but I don't really know what it needs to trigger good blooming (I just know that it's nowhere near as difficult as it's kingianum parent!)

... 3 years later... do you still have it? Have you figured out what makes it bloom/grow well? Do you have any Berry 'Oda' success tips for a newbie?

I've been lucky to find one on clearance today. No more blooms, but the plant looks healthy (~20 canes) and has good roots. Not sure if I should be in a hurry to repot it, and no idea what to expect next (and when) - the flowers are all dead but I don't see any new growths starting yet.

P.S. the pics in the first post are simply stunning! Great motivation to try and keep my Berry alive
