I'm really slow in getting to posting this - the plant's last flower is about to fall off now! - but the buds did finally open. There were 5 open in mid-September. And now it's got two new growths (pbulbs) coming in!

Oohh, that's nice about your blooms!

I got rid of the weed a few weeks ago. I felt a little bad about it but figured the orchid's rights to the space trumped it, and it had the look of something that might get quite large.

Gorgeous flowers. I tried this one once but made the mistake of growing it on living moss. The moss outcompeted it for light and ventilation. I guess plants can get smothered to death.

Mine is grown in living moss. I have it in a plastic food dish with lots of holes. It does fine.

I planted mine with the moss, the moss at the time was only a few centimeters thick/tall. Now its about 4 inches tall, if not 5. And it grew on the plant.

Ok I changed how I grow my plant and it has being going great. I have it in hydroton beads inside a clay pot. The clay pot sits inside a plastic food dish. The food dish gets the drips and keeps more humidity around the clay pot. I just mist the beads, roots and entire plant once a day. Every since I got false spider mites I have been keeping the leaves and ps bulbs more moist. It does dry by the next day, then I rewater. Here is how it looks today.

Mine is in bloom now. Staying in clay pot with hydroton beads, misting roots and top beads daily with rain water.

Yours looks really good. I keep trying to kill mine. But it has some more new growth. Lets hope I don't kill this new growth.
