Ugh!! I just want to scream. Male
Unhappy Ugh!! I just want to scream.

I have a Dendrobium spectabile and I went to water it tonight and accendently dropped it. Now I have to pick up the pieces. Well to my demise the drop broke off the new cane that was finally growing roots.
So I put cinnamon on the broken part and praying it will grow a new one.

What do u all think, will it grw a new cane here soon?? What can I do to keep it happy till one grows?? And anyone who knows a lot or has one can u please givee some tips.

Thank u all very much for reading.

Relax, the new growth that broke loose with new roots will survive. Just repot it with the mother. The mother plant will produce another new growth.

Sorry I should of been more specific.

The bottom part of new growth is attached to the mother plant but the tip part broke off.
So I just broke the leaves off. And root were just starting to poke through.

Sorry for the lack of information.

Thank u for replying.

I poted it in LECA I had cleaned and soak over night yesterday night since I have no more regular medium.

The whole plant itself.

The bigest cane.

A close up on the damage. I covered the opening with cinnamon.

Since it's in 'growth mode', it will probably start another cane soon.

Don't worry, the plant will be ok as long as it doesn't get infection. I dropped a new Dendrobium when i brought it home, broke the flower spike and the cane. It began growing a new cane after not too long.
