Default Dendrobium peguanum issue??

Well, all has been well with this plant until the last 2-3 days. It has randomly started to drop leaves.

I have it planted in a tiny bark mixture with moss around it to keep it moist as it was drying out in about 2 days and the leaves would droop. The roots look good as there is no rot or fungus.

It seems to me that it might possibly be going into its winter break but no idea really.

They are naturally fully deciduous and go dormant in the winter. They were never meant to be evergreen.

The natural cycle of growth occurs during spring and summer, sometimes continuing to grow into fall. They bloom and drop leaves in the fall, and they remain dormant in the winter.

Forgot to mention, your mix might retain too much moisture for them. I have no problems growing them mounted outdoors here in SoCal all year round.

See, I think my plant is just not getting into its winter state and just wanted to confirm it.

Thanks about the culture tip. I'll take some of the moss out.
