We call it the purple-lip dendrobium. It is native to the Philippines but now in Taiwan, many orchid lovers grow it.
My plant blooms in spring regularly.

You can grow it like other nobile dendrobiums, but in winter, it is not needed to keep the medium dry out.
When the spike occurs in early spring, keep the temperature higher than 15°C.

Thanks Pheli, I appreciate the information.
I'm going to have a hard time with the temperature since in my home town is a lot colder in the winter, about 6° in average.

It seems to be too cold for this species although it is from tropical highland. The species blooms in late winter till spring and too low temperature always stop its spiking. Therefore, protection equipment is needed.

Morales, do you grow Mexican Laelias? They seem tolerate well under such low temperature.

Yes Pheli, I grow albidas, anceps (anceps, chilapensis, albas, semialbas, veitchianas, etc), speciosas, aureas, rubescens, autumnalis, gouldianas y eyermanianas. They all grow very well here.
Saludos
