(quiltergal: "Catwalker, you've probably answered this before, but what's the name of your greenhouse, and do you have a website?")

Hi Harry

I too am a fan since most of my surviving plants are the ones I bought from you. I like to read your posts here too, just the info. I am often looking for.

My favorite Latouria cross is still Den. Nora Tokunaga since its elegant with a little bit of the wild New Guinea left. It stays around 10 inches and needs this height to look its best. They look wonderful on the dinner table. I keep some of them in water culture for this purpose.

Okay Steve. How did you conclude that catwalker808 is the H in H&R and not the R?

Default Do new spikes grow on old pseudobulbs?

Hi all,

Thank you for posting the pictures of this hybrid. I bought this years ago and am so happy with it. I didn't know the species until today and I feel like I've identified my plant's long-lost relatives!

My plant is growing well. I've had it for three years or so. It's even survived relocation and was my carry-on luggage! It was putting up new spikes regularly, though I'm not sure it did last year.

One thing that I've noticed is that it seems to produce flower spikes only on the new pseudobulbs. Is this common? After flowering, I snip the flower spikes back to where they emerge near the leaves, but that same stalk doesn't seem to flower again. Also, my pseudobulbs are a bit leggy and sometimes fall sideways. Do I just need to support them as they grow tall?

Thanks everyone!

The plant can bloom again from the same cane. support the canes if it starts leaning.
