Dendrobium anceps - Orchid Board

The flowers are tiny, yellow, and are born in the under side of the growths. The plant is kind of suculent and breaks easily, but is very attractive!

Wow, I think that's one I would like to grow for the look of the foliage more than the flowers. It looks a fantastic plant.

Mauro, what cultural requirements do you give for this one? I've read/heard different rules, ie., high light, low light, for one. I had some growth on mine that ended up rotting and it's just begun to make a come back but very slowly. I have mine mounted on a piece of lattaced teak with some sphag. I'm tempted to get another one but want to get it right first!

Yours is definitely the nicest one I've seen and that doesn't surprise me at all!

Wow, Rosim, those are museum-quality photos - lovely!
I keep thinking my anceps is budding, but it is invariably growing more foliage! Your plant is much more cooperative.

Could you explain a little about the culture of this plant and how you grow it?

Jeff, Sandy, mine is planted in tree fern fiber and plastic pot. I grow it hanging in a fresh place in the shade house. It receives less light than Cattleyas, more or less the amount Phalaenopsis like. I water it every other day in the summer and two or three times a week in the cold months. I use only organic fertilizer four times a year dressing the top of the medium

Mauro, I ended up un-mounting this one and potting it in tree fern fiber, in a plastic pot and, hanging it. I choose my lessons from only the best teachers.

I don't know what happened to this one because it bloomed it's little head off last year and over the summer, it began declining. I've already begun seeing positive changes, just in the past week. I love this one and I still might get another one just because...
