Default Source for Dendrobium nobile species?

Does anyone here in the US know of a good source for Dendrobium nobile (the species, not the hybrids)? Although there are lots of commercial growers who carry the nobile hybrids, I'm having a hard time finding the pure species. Thank you!

Santa Barbara Orchid Estates has a white on - var. Virginalis - check it out at:

Santa Barbara Orchid Estate Home Page

They sometimes has things not listed on the website.

Andy's Orchids also normally has this one, but it looks like it isn't lised right now - perhaps later.

And finally. orchids.com - ie, Norman's - has a good selection of Dens - not sure about nobile.
Good luck!

Thanks very much for the tips. I did get one of the virginalis plants from SBOE. Kind of on the runty side, but at least they had one for sale. I also got one from RF Orchids. The plant I received from them is a huge, multi-lead plant, with canes that dwarf the one from SBOE. I think it's just a "garden variety" version of the species. But that's okay too, as I really just wanted to find one or two standard plants of this species. Thanks again for responding to my post.

If you are still looking, I have a flask of Dendrobium nobile species being shipped to me. I am sure there will be more than what I will need.

Yes, I would definitely be happy to take a few seedlings from you (or whatever you care to part with). Just let me know the price, shipping, etc. (you can send me a private email to go over the details whenever you're ready to receive payment and ship the plants). Thank you for the offer!
