Default Dend. laevifolium

I've posted this as another example of "focus stacking" (see Photography Forum). For the most part I've been posting pictures of native orchids this summer, but wanted to show what this technique can do. Dend. laevifolium is a miniature species from New Guinea.

You are correct, Tom. I wrote the name without even looking at the tag and got it wrong.

Hi Ron -
Sweet photo, excellent link, thanks for both, and the heads-up on the freeware. Which I will jump into when time lets me.
This should be a really useful tool for dealing with photos of miniatures. I think.
Cheers - Nancy

Hi Nancy,
I used to use a bellows for the really small miniatures and dof was a always a difficulty. Wish I had had this software then.

Is there a Mac version of the focus stacking software or will there ever be one? Are there Mac equivalents. Just wanted to know.

I also have PC's but I was thinking I could download it onto the PC's and my Mac.

Cool! Thanks!

I like those pics you have that were photo stacked, they're very life-like and crisp. They're pretty awesome.
