Dendrobium peguanum???? - Orchid Board

From Thailand, this pic took by my friend in his garden and I had one (it still small spike , i'll share when it open bloom). I dont know the ID, i trying to search in network and see it looks like dendrobium peguanum, but I dont sure, maybe It's hybrid???Help me. please!

I'm not sure what it is...but I do have a couple of this type dendrobium getting ready to bloom. If they look the same as yours, I'll be sure to let you know.

No, it is not Den. peguanum. Den. peguanum is a miniature with tiny flowers and the flower form is completely different from yours.
Yours most likely is a hybrid.

I second Tom - this isn't peguanum. It is a latouria type (from Oceania) and nearly 100% sure it's a hybrid..possibly with lots of Dendrobium atroviolaceum in it, but it's hard to tell. It's a gorgeous color and these last a long time!! Congrats!

It's not a peguanum which has deciduous bulbs ranging from .5 cm to really huge 5-6 cm.

Hard to tell from the photo, but it's definitely a latouria (New Guinea type) den. Den atroviolaceum is in the background, but there's not enough purple spotting on petals and not enough striping on lip to be first generation. Petals are fairly flat and full, with mainly purple in center and lower flower count ... which suggests that some kind of Den phal or hybrid could be in there also, because the latourias and Den phals don't cross really easily (easy to make babies, but difficult to get easy blooming ones).

Your plant is not Den peguanum. Den peguaum is a deciduous mini, with very small onion-like pseudobulbs. Flowers are about a half inch across with white petals and sepals, with a purple lip that's slightly fringed and ruffled that form small clusters.

It's some sort of Den in the Latouria section. Perhaps a hybrid.
