Default Dendrobium Dawn Maree

Second blooming in my care, on both old canes and the newly matured cane. A popular primary hybrid between dend. cruentum and dend. formosum. I saw some Dawn Marees for sale at the TAOA show, and they were amazing, with dozens of blooms/buds. Interestingly, the red patch on the lip was much more intense (crimson rather than orange), and if I wasn't on a tight budget, I would have grabbed one.

I suspect these are either superior clones, although I didn't catch the clonal epithet, or they aren't the original Dawn Maree, since I've seen some supposed Dawn Marees that look suspiciously like Dend Green Lantern (Dawn Maree back-crossed to cruentum)

Love the way these bloom on old canes.

Well done! It looks like you've got one very happy plant there. And the foliage is so very nice - that's one well taken care of orchid!

Thanks everyone! This is a very rewarding plant...my mom hates how the canes are so long and sprawling, but I find them pretty exciting.

I love it Calvin........but then you knew I would! My Frosty is blooming too. Not as many flowers as last year. It grew 2 huge new canes this last summer so I'm hoping for an amazing next bloom cycle.
