Buds or spike on Dendrobium Nobile

Hey there Cam! Any update on your nobile nubbins??

I think I may indeed have buds! The growing formation of these nubbins is just too weird to be cane-type growth.

I'm still waiting lol But I am still convinced that mine is going to be a keiki, since I keep having to water it ( Its a keiki that came with my plant when I bought it in the spring.. so it has not older canes to help it through long drought- periods. hmm lol

mine still looks almost the same as last week. I'll post another pic tomorrow morning, though I don't think you can tell what it will be!

My vote is that it's getting ready to reward you with flowers. I had the same type of suspense last summer with my den. Hercoglossum, and then just better than a month ago with my Mingles Sapphire. Both times it was buds. the Sapphire is still in bloom

It's still really hard to tell for sure, but I think I'm casting my vote along with Nichole! Looks like it could be buds...

are you sure? Can you tell the difference between a keiki and buds at this stage? ( this is my first nobile).
