Actually I have seen plants bear flowers of slightly different colors from year to year. For instance my D. superbum plants have varying degrees of color from year to year. The following are two different plants of same species.
My point is that the slightly different coloration I see in the previous examples may be because they are different hybrids, or may be due to variations in color from year to year. Just a thought.
