Can't quite wrap my head around how long it's taken to grow but I think I will join the club with some of mine one day.

In the meantime after a 2 year wait my Dendrobium Anosmum has surprised me with it's first flowering attempt.

Only one but it makes me so happy to see this developing.

I'm always excited to see new growths and spikes forming. I especially enjoy dendrobiums because the show gets better and better each year. You see your work paying off (even with this spectabile) !

I didn't realize how cold sensitive anosmums were... until I decided to grow them outdoors here. I think it has a similar cold tolerance with Den spectabile. Mine are slowly recovering...

Yep, the Anosmum is in with my hot growers, have never dared trying if it likes cold.
So is your Anosmum flowering size too?
Like you say in time it will fill my cupboard but I think it will look amazing one day - I am planning to direct each cane like a vine growing along the wall.

I always like to test what my orchids can handle since it's so much easier to grow things outdoors. Experiments are not without some failures...!
