Question Dendrobium (Winika) cunninghamii

Is there anyone here cultivating this species? I've been looking for it for quite some time, but never found it anywhere nor any cultural information. Nobody seems to cultivate it, except in New Zealand. If anyone might know a source or has cultural information, I would be very happy to know.

Ultra interesting in that this plant appears to be off the radar in Australia. I would have expected that at least somebody online in Australia would mention something about it - as in growing it. But appears to be none at all so far.

Yes its very strange indeed. Mostly one can only read on the internet, that it is the southernmost growing Dendrobium species. But from all nurseries I contacted within Europe, I didn't even get a response. Also I couldn't find flasks nor seeds in Australia and New Zealand. Apparently there seem to be some plants (or at least at some point there were) in the UK, but I couldn't find out more, exept that they can be cultivated there in a greenhouse without heating. Quite interesting. There are nurseries in New Zealand selling these plants, but they all where out of stock when I looked them up and they do not export anyway.

It certainly is odd. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for any new information about this one. I just find it really weird how there's like zero mention of it from growers in Australia. Definitely interested to know what the story is behind that.
