Default Bud pointing down

I have a Paph Supersuk x Raisin Pie that I received in spike about a month ago. The spike has grown well and the bud is finally starting to open. My gosh do they grow slow!!!

Anyway the bud on the spike was pointed out when I bought it, but now the bud is pointing straight down. Is this normal? Will the flower open up and display normally or will the flower be pointed down as well?

I have the stem clipped to a stake, but to get the bud pointed out I would have to clip the stem over the leaf that the bud is protruding from. I can post a pic tonight.

Thank you Ray. I figured it would be. I've seen other flowers do it as well. I was a little worried about under watering causing it though.

Here's a pic just for fun! The yellow is do to lighting and using flash.

Sorry about the late reply with a pic.

It has begun to open very nicely. The dorsal petal still needs to straighten up. I am loving the color though!
