Paphiopedilum fairrieanum ('My Fair Lady' X 'Red Dorsal' AQ/AOS)

I bought this plant and another last November at Paph symposim. I always like the look of Paph fairrieanum because its flower looks elegant to me. One plant promptly died a week after I got it. I did not repot this plant - it's still in its bark mix in 2.25 inch pot. I made an effort to water it more. Anyway - very happy to bloom it. Now we see how long it survives under my care or lack of.

Yes,elegant bloom. I've had one for about 5yrs,same size pot and medium but no blooms. From my research,Oct-April is the dry period yet you think yours needs more water. Would like to hear your plan so I can copy it! TY

The flowers on these last a long time. Mine still has its flower since November. I love the green in yours, makes a nice contrast against the red.
