I thought this would be a pretty unusual cross. I find it pretty, though somewhat unexciting.

The plant has leaves that are both strappy, and mottled. It is much smaller than a philippinense, but larger than a Godefroyae, and the flower is a good substance and size.

Here is an example of the leaf too: It's sideways, sorry.

Very nice flower! Took the Brachy shape of godefroyae and extended it with the genes of the philippinense...

Very pretty. Overall, this turned out far better than most. It's got a nice clean, evenly colored lip, good petal & sepal shape, and the spotting is clean and uniformly striated. Very good outcome, and you're especially lucky since these often produce a lot of really crappy offspring. You got one of the good ones.

You may be correct. I was not attracted to the various pictures I have seen of this cross, and many crosses of godfroyae. I do like godfroyae due to varieties among the individuals and the thicker petals.

I think it's fabulous, and if it bloomed in my care I'd be thrilled! Congratulations.

I'm not a big brachy fan, but godefroyae and leucochilum are the prettiest of the bunch (though I do have a soft spot for a nice buttery concolor). For the most part I'm underwhelmed by the brachy intersectional hybrids, but most of the ones I do really like seem to involve godefroyae or leuchochilum. For instance, I think your plant's flower turned out great, and I like their hybrids with hangianum.
