I agree! It's been a funny little transformation. It looks like it's stuck in the helmet. One little 'arm' flung out and one stuck to its side.

I'd make a terrible botanist…always anthropomorphizing the specimens.

One kid told me the lip of my Paph. primulinum looked like a nose when viewed from the side.

It and the primulinum are still blooming away. Haven't taken a break yet. How long do these sequentials keep going? And is there a point at which you should cut off the spike to allow them to rest and regroup for next year?
