Default Early bird gets the worm (= best Paphs)

Doing set-up at a show gives you a chance to see the plants coming in from the vendors first At Deep Cut I found 3 complex Paphs, which clearly needed a new home (mine).

In these photos (taken after the show), some of the flowers got beat up a little, but I think you will get why I grabbed them.

Congratulations on getting some great orchids that you really like!

The set up before the show is rather fun in other ways, too. I like meeting everyone who comes to set up...the vendors and the members from the other Orchid Societies. Orchid people are generally really great people and we all have so much to talk about (orchids!).

So you were the one who bought the good ones before I got there! hehe

I always prefer to attend the show on the morning of the first day for shopping purpose, but people who set up the tables are always there the day before.
Dang it!!!

Waldo had some nice bulldogs this year for great price, but three best were already taken and I was there one hour after the "official" open hour of the first day. Grrrrrrr!!!!!!

Looks like you need to volunteer in some capacity that Friday before the show to get in on the good stuff.
