Default Paph. supersuk ‘Eureka’ AM/AOS x Paph. Raisin Pie ‘hsinying’ x Sib

I said I would not buy another orchid unless it was really cool. So I happen to go to trader joes when shopping in Reno that is 2 hours away from my home. Got to see what they have for orchids haha.

I saw some really nice minis but the one that caught my eye was this poor little sad Paph. As I was checking out This lady saw me with it. She stopped and was really excited to see it She asked do they have more. I said "no I don't think so but they have a few other nice orchids." She said "No they are not as nice as that." and she walked away all sad. I felt kind of bad for her.

I was happy I got there in time to score this for $8.00 . This is the first orchid I have bought that had the full name on the tag. It is a Paph. supersuk ‘Eureka’ AM/AOS x Paph. Raisin Pie ‘hsinying’ x Sib .

The leaves are all sad and messy. It needed water badly. I love the color or the leaves. Can't wait to see the flower.

any growing tips?

I am getting mix ideas on what this plant needs as a potting mix. I read these plants don't live in trees but grow on the rainforest floor . So would using peat moss or a soil type mix made for terrestrial orchids? Maybe an orchid soil wit bark and perlite?

What works best I do live in a drier climate.

Paphs aren't true terrestrial plants - they grow amongst organic litter on the ground's surface (like many Cymbidiums). Usual potting media is fine fir bark and perlite, tho of course other media may be used, but I would advise against any media for true terrestrial plants.

I would think that if you have this cross and that it is white, it is probably mislabeled. Can you post a picture?
