Wow, I can't get over how similar your plant looks to mine. The tag on mine reads Paph. primulinum x Paph. rothschildianum 'Hilo Sunshine' (also known as Paph. Prime Child). Do you think they could be siblings or clones? Mine came from eBay so I'm not sure which nursery but 'Hilo Sunshine' sounds like Hawaii to me.







Also some interesting info according to this website:

Paph. primulinum is unlike all other paphiopedilums in that the albino form was the first to be described and is thus the 'typical' variety. The colored form is fma. purpurascens, named for the color of the flowers.

That one has a beautiful pattern on the dorsal!

CambiraWhat- Hilo Orchid Farm (HOF) is a large scale nursery in Hilo in Big Island in Hawaii.
They are one of the leading paph producers.
I have many paphs from them and love how they name their orchids. Hilo Jewel, Hilo Green, Hilo Ruby, Hilo Sunshine...

Yours does not specify what primulinum is used, but it could be of the same batch.
Of course you can only be sure about the Roth parent being the same one used for yours and SJF's.

Beautiful! I purchased mine from Ray in low spike. Yes, you are right it is Prime Child. I went off of the tag.
