Default repotting paph

I just recently aquired a Paphiopedilum Vanda M Pearman and its blooming season is in late spring to early summer. The potting mix looks like it is breaking down because it holds way too much water. Can I repot it now so that the flowering is not affected?

I would say yes. Any time the potting medium starts to break down, the benefits of repotting outweigh the risks in my opinion.

I agree with all the others. Have new growths appeared yet? That is typically the signal that new roots are also starting. That is the best time to repot, but any time is better than let the rotted mix cause root destruction.
