How hard is it to grow phrags?

I had a Les Dirouilles for a few years. I purchased it from someone who was closing their greenhouse for $3. It was in pretty bad shape. Anyway it took it a year or so to recover. It bloomed last year, and the thing was a monster......almost came to my shoulder! The plant was also huge. It started getting really big as soon as the culture got better. As soon as the bloom finished I sold it to a friend because it was way to big for my space.
