Some blooms and buds.
Default Some blooms and buds.

One Maudiae alba is finally open now. This one took 13 months to flower again. I guess not all these flower twice a year. This one has a sibling which is still in growth mode. I like the deep green on this one. The plant size got fairly big, but the flower size is the same as last year's. It would be nicer if the flower were larger, but I can live with this one.

The second one is mislabeled hybrid. NOID, but I suspect it has neveum and In-Charm white.
It flowered with severely deformed (almost none) pouch last time. I see two buds developing now and really curious to find out how the flowers will turn out.

The rest are complex hybrids of different colors in bloom now. I love the pure all green one. It has a very modest plant size not like others that are too large for me.

I'm not sure if it's overall lower temperature or the increased diurnal temperature variation, but all the paphs I have seem to grow really well during spring and fall.

Your paphs are so lovely! I almost purchased one last week and now I regret not snapping one up.

That one is my favorite of these as well, although I like green with some white on the dorsal.
Other than the color, glossy texture, large flower size, I really really like the fact that the plant is quite small with quite a few growths all over.

I only wish all the complex paphs were this small yet produce the same large flowers. oh, well...

I find paphs very easy. well, that's a relative term, but still.

I think in your climate, complex paphs should do very well. With the dry air in California, you probably have watering issue with them or put them outside when cold??
