Welcome to Washington, Evan, but sorry to hear about the car crash. Hope we get a chance to meet somewhere. Lovely Paph and beautifully flowered.

Oh Evan! Sorry to hear your car was totaled, but glad no one was hurt. Did you lose many orchids? How long does your internship in MA last?

Your Paph Berenice is beautiful! Love the dorsal and the color on the petals.

Thank you Rosie, Ron, Tucker, and Terri, for the nice comments.

Ron, I grew up in WA. At the moment I'm in MA.

Terri, I lost 4 orchids. My Phal. stuartiana and bastianii that were given to me by a fellow OB member, a Calanthe triplicata that I only recently acquired, and a jewel orchid hybrid called Anoectodes Charlotte's Web that I really loved. Most of my plant losses were delicate terrarium plants. Many of the orchids that my parents were bringing to me survived multiple days of baking sun and a few thunderstorms before we could salvage things from the car. They are recovering with me in Massachusetts while my parents are recovering at home in WA. My mom is back out in the garden and my dad is back at work, though he still has quite a bit of healing to do. At least they are alive with no permanent damage. Thanks for your concern.

My internship lasts until the end of August, after which I start another internship at Longwood Gardens.
