I have several phals growing spikes and buds but this one I am waiting to open the most, because it should be super fragrant.

Here's my very "buddy" Paph. ciliolare. It came with spike and bud and luckily, didn't abort the spike. It stalled for a bit when a certain someone didn't water it enough, but after getting a proper drenching it has now started to slowly growing it again.

Lovely buds! Mine has finally opened... However, one of the buds has a lip that looks as if it didn't get enough air pumped into it I have no idea how could such thing happen... Does anyone know what could this be the sign of?

I don't know what it could be a sign of, but I don't know if it's any cause for worry if the rest of the plant looks fine, but I'm just a newbie when it comes to Paphs, when it comes to Phrags I think I might score minus points on a knowledge test...

My little Paph ciliolare is slowly, slowly opening its bud:

Beautiful! I don't grow these, so can't help you out - that's quite interesting. Start a new thread asking about that if you aren't getting any opinions regarding that in this thread.

I took my little ciliolare out on my balcony today for a photosession. While I was crawling around there on all four, Pelle thought it a great idea to try to cuddle with me, the camera, the Paph, and everything. After I don't know how many wasted shots I finally managed to take one.

I took it against a dark background (it's ugly, I know) so as to show the colour variations on the petals. It's not much time left now!

The buds are almost as beautiful as the flowers.
