Default Paph Armeni White - two plants

First time I've flowered these, two plants - one of which I bought on EBay and one I bought from a nursery 3 or 4 years ago as a seedling. They grow cold and tolerate heat, I don't worry much about the humidity really with these and they grew really well. They grow side by side so the difference in colour of the foliage is really interesting to me. The seedling is not quite open but should be lovely when it's finished opening. They are a light yellow and I can only imagine they go white with time. They grow under two layers of 70% shade cloth. Award potential I think.....

Ooh nice. On the mature one the spotting inside the pouch shows through a bit more, I wonder if the other will as the flower ages

Thumbs up

They are both beautiful. I wouldn't mind having either one!

Both are very nice and I, too, would welcome one of them into my greenhouse. I do notice that the labellum on the mature plant is lighter in color (photographic differences/lighting/age) and is speckled centrally on the petals.

After these plants flowered they nearly passed on. Refused to put out new growths and struggled to do anything for a long time. Just as I was about to give up they put out new growths but still a few years from ever flowering again. I find Parvi's difficult to keep going past that first flowering.

They are very pretty. Sorry to hear that, I wonder why? I love them and have a couple but I want more. If they are going to die after the first bloom I don't want them as I would be to sad. And I'm not rich so I don't want to spend money on plants that don't live for me.

They are still in the process of opening up if you still see yellow tone on them.
The flowers will get slightly bigger until they bleach out to pure white. Then most of them would begin to have their dorsals and petals curl in and out. lol
