Default Paph bellatulum in the wild.

Heres some views of a trip I went on in June to see Paph bellatulum in flower in the wild. It was hard going but worth the effort.

They must get a lot of rain there. They seem to be growing right on the rocks. The bird sounds are a nice touch, seems like you'er in a tropical paridise.
Thanks !!

Great example of how they grow in nature, thanks for showing.
Some of those bellatulum are as good as if not better than some of the nursery bred ones.

Default Bellatulum in the wild.

The area I saw the plants was in Northern Thailand. It was the rainy season when we went there and it rained most days but mostly in the evenings. What is interesting is that the plants here have a long dry season from early December to late April when there is very little rain and everywhere is very dry and parched - yet these Paphs seem to survive very well. I think one of the main reasons that hobbyists loose their plants is because they keep them to wet in the winter. Everyone seems to think that being Paphs they should never be allowed to dry out!
