Default Paph blank 'Mad Max I' x Insigne ‘Sanderae’

This guy was sold to me on eBay. It was labelled Paph 'Mad Max I' x Insigne ‘Sanderae’ and Paph Mad Max I doesn't exist, so I think something got missing from the label and Mad Max I was a clonal name.

I am suspecting that it is Paph sukhakulii x insigne var Sanderae which is registered as Paph Tatonka, but it may be something else.

Just searching the orchid registry and these crosses were also made but they are a century older than sukhakulii x insigne in 1989...
argus x insigne 1892
callosum x insigne 1893
ciliolare x insigne 1892

The base of my plant has some purple spotting. sukhakulii has no purple base according to Cribb and insigne var sanderae has no purple base according to Mahon....
I think I have analyzed my plant too much now...doh!

....time to look for all the mottle-leaved hybrids crossed with insigne

Holdenii x insigne 1933
Auroreum x insigne 1982
javanicum x insigne 1893
Clair de Lune x insigne 1951

I went through all the crosses and probably missed some...wierd boxallii x insigne has so many names! *yawn*

Somehow I don't think sukhakulii is in the background...the heavy spotting influence of a primary sukhakulii hybrid is not evident. Regardless, it is a pretty paph!
