Default Paph Fair Fred

This year's blooming. The plant has suffered much, but did manage to bloom this year. One of my favs.

That's a nice bloom for a plant that has suffered. What happened to it? Either way, I need to make some of mine suffer that much to get a bloom like that. Definitely a top 10 on my list.

I had the bright idea to plant it in redwood chips. Not a good idea apparently. Too acidic. Then I put it under lights that were too strong. It got light, stretched out leaves and began to lose the older leaves. I'd show the plant, but I'm too embarassed.

I moved it to coco chunks, charcol and perlite and for now its doing better. Root growth has begun again, Yaaaaaaaaaaa!
