Default Paph. Fanaticum x Micranthum

I am quite excited about this one, as it is a cross between Paphiopedilum Fanaticum and Paph. Micranthum. Paph. Fanaticum is itself a cross between Paph. Malipoense and Paph. Micranthum.

This seems to be a new, as yet unnamed, cross, which has been made in Japan. I bought this in bud at the Japan Grand Prix International Orchid Festival and it is now opening. This is the first photo of this hybrid that I can find on the internet. It has more pink than Paph. Fanaticum, and the labellum (lip/slipper) is very large.

If anyone has seen this cross before I would be interested to know.

Very nice! I love how the double dose of micranthum gives it a great pouch and petals.

Very nice. Almost looks the same as micranthum. It's easier to grower than either parents?? micranthum is one of my favorite paph. species, but i always end up killing them. =( Does it need the chill to set up the bud?
