Hi M_mso9,

Congrats on such an interesting find. These are really cool looking in the photos I have seen of them. I found some information that suggests treating these guys very similarly as you would other paphs, and although the reference states that they like less water in the winter months, they should never be allowed to dry out. They should only be repotted about every 2 to 3 years, and to do so in the spring after they flower.

That's all I've got for you. Maybe someone else can provide greater details. Good luck with this beautiful species.

Wow, what a great addition, I've seen the pics, you are in for a treat when it blooms m_ms09! congratulations

I am sorry I don't have any advice on how to care for them because I don't currently own one, but I am sure someone else in the board will be able to provide some

It's an intermediate grower 75-80 degree days in summer, down to 45-50 at night in winter in native habitat. Needs a day to night swing and the low temps in winter to flower. Takes several months for spike to grow from first peek to bloom, be patient.

I don't think anyone would object, if you listed the vendor where you made this beautiful purchase. For those who want to know just how beautiful MMS' new plant is, take a look at these flowers I found online

I know that Oak Hill is selling them. The plants they have are very small, and probably a couple of years from blooming.

Actually, a friend of mine has a number of them growing in a pot, and had long ago repotted one of them for me. He just gave it to me the other day.

I know what you're all thinking -- generous friend! And he certainly is.

I think Cloud's Orchids in Ontario has them in stock, but they're near bloom size: Paph Species and Hybrids(updated on October 14, 2008)
