Default Paph. Via Balboa, Paph. wardii, Paph Wössner Zwerg

Pic 1: It finally bloomed... I had the feeling it was taking ages to develope and open... Since I was a child, I always wanted to have one of those "Monster Paph", then I lost the interest in the Complex Hybrids, until in spring this year I decided to give them a try... I ordered two: Paph. Via Balboa & Paph Mildred Hunter... Both are growing in S/H since I received them, and both doing pretty well (several new growths (3 to 4)... this is the first that blooms and has a second spike growing Actually, I was expecting this hybrid to be more yellow but I love the right balance of green and yellow it has

Pic 2: My recently acquired Paph wardii... a gorgeous little Paph. This plant was a nice present from Mr. Gunzenhauser from .:: Welcome to Gunzenhauser Orchids ::. ( a great colleection of Paph )

Pic 3: My Paph Wössner Zwerg in second bloom this year... I love this primary hybrid!

just get one, and you will find yourself hooked with them... (my own experience!) I had some Maudie Type NOIDs given, and were just part of my experiments with S/H (they love it!). Then I saw a Paph helenae hybrid for the first time and WOW! I bought it (Paph Wössner Zwerg), then I had to go for Paph Wössner Goldsuk (currently in spike), and then they started flirting with a group of weird guys called bellatulum, Magic Lantern, Via Balboa, Mildred Hunter, sukkakuli, fairrianum, Gold Dollar (I think this is the Rapper in the group!), Rossy Dawn, concolor, wardii (this is a very weird guy!)... and I cannot get them out of my house anymore...

Nice paphs Ramon! They look good I don't have any paphs yet, even though there are many I would like to have. I'm too scared of killing them!

Camille, do it as I did get one or two cheap Maudie Type NOIDs from the supermarket, and check how they do at your place... after that, you will see you can also grow them and then I would recommend you the helenae hybrids

I'm very impressed with your blooms! I love the first one the most! I have a fear of growing them, but I am trying and have one open and another new bud surfacing. They seem to take a long time to bloom, but also they bloom for a long time....so it all evens out in the grand scheme of things. Thanks for sharing!

Very nice group Ramon. I really like the wardii. Once the slipper bug bites you're a gonner.

Paph. delenatii
Paph. henryanum (this is so stinking cute)
Paph. hirsutissimum
Paph. liemianum
Paph. sukhakulii
Paph. Magic Lantern
Paph. Pink Sky

I seem to have been drawn to the species, not sure why. Of course there are many more on the good old list!
