I’ve been looking for a thread on fragrant paphs but couldn’t find one. Many posts mention no fragrance but I’m interested in fragrance that is not held so close I have to put my nose in the flower to get even a whiff. Any suggestions,
maliponense is my only find so far. I noted some like spicerianum are purported to be fragrant but none of mine ever were.

My Paph QF Mini is fragrant, like lemons. I believe it is from the Paph Thaianum parent. Also, some paph delanati are fragrant (roses).

Other than malipoense (most or all plants are fragrant) and delenatii (a few plants are fragrant), fragrance is extremely rare in Paphs.

My dad had 2-300 Paph insigne, and on one occasion detected fragrance from the flower on one plant. The next day his helper had pulled flowers for cut flower sale, and he never identified the plant again.

In Phragmipedium, some schlimii carry a light fragrance.
