Default Any book suggestions on paphiopedilums?

Can anyone suggest a book on paphiopedilums? Call me old-fashioned, but I like a good book filled with culture and history of species!

Thanks

Jeff ...... I have seen topics about those sorts of books, and the names that mainly came up are:

The Paphiopedilum Grower's Manual, rev. 2nd ed.

and books by Harold Koopowitz : Tropical Slipper Orchids: "Paphiopedilum" & "Phragmipedium" Species & Hybrids

Novelty Slipper Orchids: Breeding and Cultivating Paphiopedilum Hybrids

Orchid Fever by Eric Hansen is a good read about the characters who hunt for paphs. Highly recommend it.

The Paphiopedilum Growers Manual by Birk left me less than satisfied. He devotes a page to each species with a picture and basic description of the habitat and weather. It's an OK book but you won't really learn much from it.

If you are interested in Tropical Slipper Orchids by Koopowitz, it is available on the Orchid Digest website Tropical Slipper Orchids

Thanks SouthPark, I have been eyeing the one by Harold Koopowitz. Maybe they'll release a new edition one of these days...

I don't think that's the same book by Koopowitz. It looks like it's by Phillip Cribb and Christopher Purver. Maybe I need to be a member to see the full list? Thank anyway though!

Sorry, you're correct. The Koopowitz book is available (maybe Amazon? or AOS? or both?)
