Here's Paph. Chiu-Hua Dancer x gardineri in bloom (I've seen this referenced as Paph. QF Hula Dancer one place, so maybe that's the correct name for this cross).

I'm really happy with the flower color and the gardineri seems to have imparted a willingness to start multiple growths at the same time, so I expect that over time this plant will form a nice clump.

Very nice, but Pahiopedilums have their own forum. Maybe the excitement made you miss the proper forum, which would be understandable.

Yeah, that's confusing that it's split in two. I didn't notice that. Not sure what I can do about it since there's no delete button that I see?

I'd be happy with that too. Paph. Chiu-Hua Dancer is, IMHO, the very best modern multifloral primary hybrids. My only complaint is that they're soooo big.

This cross doesn't have the captivating curled petals, but it still captures a lot of the good qualities while also benefiting from being much more compact.

I really like it. I've wanted a Paph. Chiu-Hua Dancer for a long time, but I just don't have the room. This might be the next best thing. The lip color is so bold and the petals are still pretty lengthy. Well done!

I agree, the gardineri definitely tames the petals which are so unusual on Chiu Hua Dancer. In a lot of ways, this cross looks almost like a really oversized, exagerated glanduliferum.

The plants I picked this from among had many different leaf forms (some were quite broad-leafed, more like Paph. gigantifolium), so I wonder if other seedlings in the cross might favor the other parent more in their flowers.
