Default Phragmidepedium Acker's Flare

Phragmipedium Jason Fischer x Beauport

This came from a flask purchased from Chuck Acker over 15 years ago. These have been challenging to grow and bloom, but this clone is the most reliable bloomer.

I missed the opportunity to get a photo of the first flower on the spike, which was much bigger and even better quality, but this one's still quite nice. The red is very dark and vibrant, I'm quite happy with it. The shape is variable, but generally the petals are proportionally wide and pretty flat (more so than this current flower shows).
