Phragmipedium schlimii
This one is a trooper, with a half matured new growth and another just beginning. This is the 5th or 6th flower off one spike since about last Dec. for this sequential bloomer. I have wondered if I should intervene and give it a break from flowering. Any thoughts?

Let it bloom. When it's tired, it will stop. Phrags don't really need a rest period like some other orchids do.

Thanks gang for all the feedback. Will let it bloom until it decides to quit. Many thanks too for the flower compliments. I love my orchids, but it's even better when you enjoy them with me!

I forgot to add Beth - when it drops the flower and doesn't have another, you don't need to cut the spike then either. It's possible it will pause that spike on it's own with no flower, and then start again after that. If it dries out and shrivels, that's another story.
