Cool Phrag. Sorcerer's Fire

This is the 2nd blooming of this orchid. I'm not too excited with the shape or the coloring. I was hoping for more red.

I'm thinking that I need to improve my fertilizing when it is actively growing. I was pretty stingy because I didn't want to burn it.

The 1st blooming when I purchased it from the grower had a lot more red.

Anyway, I'm glad I got it to bloom. I'm still a novice with the Phrags.

1st/2nd pics are the bloom/plant when I got it. 3rd pic is today's bloom.

Melissa I had a similar thing happen with my Don Wimber. I think the color intensity may be related to temperature. See the difference in color in this thread. Phrag. Don Wimber Both flowers are from the same spike.

Congrats on getting it to rebloom for you! Very pretty even tho it not as dark as you'd like, its got good form.
