I'm in the nervous period of them being dormant now, and always worried and just hoping they will come back up in the spring. I have four species now (only had two including this one last year). |

That is gorgeous Rosie. Great growing. I'm dying to have a go myself with these as I love Cyps. Im curious what medium are you growing in?

I suggest you check out the website of Cady's Falls Nursery in Morrisville, VT. They have been cultivating "showies" quite successfully for years and have a section of website devoted to cultivation of Cyp reginae. www.cadysfallsnursery.com |

Cypripedium reginae
Here in Michigan I've found them growing on the margin of sphagnum bogs. I've got some great photos of them, but unfortunately they're on film rather than digital media. Maybe it's time to revisit and get some digital photos. Also in the same bog were Cyp. acuale, Spiranthes sp., Arethusa bulbosa, Pogonia ophioglossoides, Calopogon pulchellus and a couple of carnivorous species. Cool place.
