Default Phrag. Fox Valley Fireball

A first blooming of Tom Kalina's excellent hybrid Fox Valley Fireball (Barbara Le Ann `Select' x Rosalie Dixler 'Fox Valley' AM/AOS). Enjoy!

A beautiful photo! Is it a difficult one to grow?

Well thanks to everyone for the comments. I consider all phrags a little tricky, especially the deep red ones. This one is one of the easier deep reds though.

I've found the orange ones like Don Wimber (or most anything with longifolium in it) much easier to grow and can put on quite a show.

I'll have to watch for one. I have a green one [I think] that I got as a seedling labled ? because the grower couldn't remember the cross. It's 5 years later and I think it may bloom this spring!
