Mountain Lady's Slipper - Orchid Board

Not as spectacular as the pink or yellow slippers, but to my mind the most beautiful of them all is the Mountain lady's Slipper, Cypripedium montanum. These were photographed on a hillside near the town of Dunster, British Columbia.

Beautiful photo, Ron. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to see this one. For folks like me in Texas, this is the only way I get to enjoy them.

Texas has its own set of wild orchids many of which can be found in the Big Thicket. When we lived in Houston many years ago that was a great place to find them.
