Default Cypripedium kentuckiense

I went out with a group this weekend to see a few orchids in the wild. For me, this was the main attraction. It was my first time to see one in real life. These are very rare this far south and west. We saw about as many blooms in this one spot than there are known locations in Texas. Very cool.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. It was very exciting. We also got to visit a HUGE bog that was very different from the bogs around east TX. We saw some Rose Pagonia, Oklahoma Grass Pink, Sundews, Butterworts, and thousands of Pitcher Plants. I'll try to get some of those pics up too.
