Christmas bloomers
Two of these opened up for me while I was in Canada. Left to right: Paph Hsinying Alien (previously posted), Phrag Bel Croute, and Paph Papa Rohl.

Those look fantastic Tony. The Bel Croute is very cool. What is the parentage on that one? It might have to go on my list.

Thanks for all the compliments and the welcome home. I had a great time in Canada, and the weather "warmed up" to just below freezing while I was there.
Bel Croute is Sorceror's Apprentice x caudatum (var. sanderae in this particular plant). A local grower has loads of these, made with several different varieties of caudatum. I may have to pick up a few more, I'm really happy with this one.

Those are gorgeous! Can I grow these? I'm pretty good at Dendrobiums (not!) and Phals. Tony - you know I am kidding, right? Seriously, are these candidates for terrarium growing? I want to expand and can't do it in the bay window so am looking at good candidates for terrariums. Oh, and I plan to use T5 light banks.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

You should be able to grow Paphs in a terrarium, I know Tindo does. The Phrag could be done, but it would have to be a very large tank, this is a first bloomer with a 2.5 ft LS, and the spike is over two feet tall, and will keep growing as it blooms.

Beautiful Tony! I especially like the coloring of Papa Rohl.
A 2.5 foot leaf span on the phrag! WOW. As a whole, do phrags grow bigger than paphs?

Whew! I thought these might be smaller (now you know how much I know about these puppies!)

Very nice Paph. Papa Röhl Tony. Thanks for sharing.
BTW You should think about submitting a pic of your plant to OrchidWiz - the one they have is awful!
