This is my first Phrag. ever, and I like it a lot. I've been a bit scared to try one, but decided, what the hey. I've got one more that should be open in a couple of days. We'll see.

Nice choice for a first Phrag. I'll bet you have fun with this one - very nice colors and form.

Beautiful, Kim! I really love these soft pink Phrags. But for the moment, just don't have the space. Hopefully that will change as soon as I can convince my bf I need some more room.

Nice growin'!!

Great flower, Kim! It seems that you can't really go wrong with Eric Young, every single one that I have laid eyes on has been pretty. I have a compot of them that I deflasked a couple of months ago, that's how much I like them! So, in several years, we'll see if that is actually true!

Thanks for sharing your blooms with us - it will help tide me over in the mean time!

I second that. Phrags are addictive! They are easy to grow and bloom, hard to kill, and flower sequentially for months! What more can you ask for??

Beautiful Eric Young, great choice for your first phrag!

I just picked up one of these yesterday. It is both my first phrag and my first orchid in s/h (it came that way from the grower). She's a real beaut with two large old fans and one smaller new one. There's one bloom that's fully open and one about to open and one just budding. I'll post pics when I can.

Tuvoc (and others) - any advice for a noobie? What's worked for you? The woman at the greenhouse said it's an every day waterer and a once-a-week fertilizer and that it likes the same type of light as a paph or phal. What do you guys think?

Thanks!

- J
