Default Phrag Memoria Dick Clements (made w/ besseae flavum)

This plant is flowering on two spikes, and produced two malformed flowers before this one opened. Now that it finally has a normal blossom, I am very happy! This flower is slightly larger than my regular Dick Clements.

Thanks for looking!

Joe

It is very nice...I for one would be interested in seeing the 'not so perfect' flowers. But since this is a sequencial they probably have fallen off....?

What a very pretty one, Joe. Sorry, I'm not quite "slipper-fied" yet.....does "flavum" give it more yellow than the regular Dick Clements?

It sure does! Phrag. besseae f. flavum is the yellow form of the species.

I believe one of them is still on there... I will check and snap a photo if it is.

As per BikerDoc's request, here is a photo of one of the deformed flowers.

This one just had the pouch flattened on one side. The first one was missing one whole side of the pouch!

I can see the difference but it isn't that bad....both are very nice and I agree about the color...it's GREAT! But I've got one up on you for deformed flowers.... this guy opened about a week or two ago and I did post when it opened....but you want to talk about deformed, well......

I'm waiting to see if the next flower has this same deformity.
