I water it 3 times a day!! Its in a plastic pot filled with the 33% magic orchid mix of bark perlite and charcoal. Basket just hold the plastic pot...
These came from Lehua last month. We see how they take the heat bec its been too damn hot for man plant or animal.
Seem to be okey under 60% cloth for now. Started to get some bronzing of the leaves under 50%. Moved.

DC, there are Paphs. from several different climates. A lot won't like your heat. Consider indoors. Multiflorals and many bulldogs should be fine outside for you. Multiflorals take more light but not full Florida sun. A Paph. that goes fully dry just once might stop growing for months.
Likewise there are Phrags. from several climate zones. The big greens are mostly OK with heat. Hybrids involving them usually are too, even the pretty pink and red ones. They are even less tolerant of drying out than Paphs. Many but not all grow at, high elevations in full tropical sun, in ditches or streams, or on the banks.

very interesting, would have expected longer petals with this cross. I saw Lehua's page though, seems to be similar. I know lindenii has the shortest petals of the "long-petalled" bunch

well at least it went out elegantly! we are starting to appreciate the breeders who have taken the fading of the flowers into account when making crosses....
