That is a longer spike with more flowers than my plant. What's odd is that the background color of the lip on your plant is pure white while mine is mostly pigmented.

Congrats on posting a photo. You can edit the text where the hosting site inserts their little plug.

What a beautiful plant. Congrats on posting a picture. I myself understand not understanding all this stuff. I usually have to have my hubby help me to do things for the first time.

Your lip is white too, just more spots. As I have found with this cross, it is highly influenced by light which will alter the color of the backgrounds as well as increase/decrease amount/intensity of the red markings. Lips are notoriously famous for reflecting differences in light.

I have an almost alba yellow standard. When given strong light, it will have a large pink blush centrally on the white lip. Keep it shaded and the lip is almost pure white with just a hint of blush.

I would call my lip yellow but I can certainly imagine that in low light it would be much lighter. I'm very happy with it. And am looking forward to seeing what Compte de Hemptinne looks like, too.

" And am looking forward to seeing what Compte de Hemptienne looks like, too."

Species lowianum 'Compte d' Hemptienne' or hybrid Pauwelsii 'Comte d' Hemptienne' 4n?

What beautiful Cymbidiums! And it's a delight to see the flower and then learn that it's from another member here - that's pretty cool. Congratulations.
